Welcome To The A-Team.org

Celebrating 25+ years of The A-Team!

Welcome to 'The A-Team Captured', which sets out to be the most detailed and comprehensive A-Team fan site on the 'Net!

There are a lot of good A-Team sites out there, but at lot of them share similar (and 'borrowed') material. I wanted to created something more original, comprehensive and in depth. What I aim to provide here is a very detailed guide to the series and each episode.

Each episode will eventually have it's own highly detailed capsule, with cast details, plot overview, reviews, trivia, bloopers, and many other things relating to the episode. I am also a huge fan of many other classic shows of the era ('The Dukes of Hazzard', 'Magnum p.i.', 'Knight Rider', 'Airwolf' et al.), so there will also be many cross-references to many other popular classics.
The site is designed for fans the world over; I am in the United Kingdom, and also aim to reflect the British end of things, with scans from British magazines and suchlike.

~*~  After a year or so of sparse updates, the site is now being updated pretty much daily, so add us to your favourites, and tell your fellow A-Team fans! =)   ~*~

NOTICE REGARDING FORUM - UPDATE

10/43/2010 - Apologies for the lack of updates last few days; I generally try to update every day or two, but my desktop PC that I run this site from has had disk errors and I've had to reinstall loads of stuff.

Anyway, enough of that... I MET MY HERO - DIRK "THE FACEMAN" BENEDICT HIMSELF!

For those who don't know, Dirk is touring in the U.K. playing Lieutenant Columbo in 'Prescription: Murder'. This week it arrived just a few miles away from me at Theatre Royal, Windsor, so I just HAD to go. My friend (a casual 'A-Team' fan) and I booked tickets, and went last night. We loved the play. Afterwards, Dirk was kind enough to sign autographs and pose for photos.

I had never been so nervous in all my life, which made me end up babbling like a loon (Murdock's got nothing on me!) I think I inadvertently insulted my hero - I could see he was exhausted; some people (some who hadn't even seen the play, which was a bit cheeky) had stacks of things for him to autograph. I commented I could see he was very tired and was kind to stop and sign everything - but he took it that I was saying he looks tired nowadays hehe. Thankfully, I think he took it in good jest, and was soon laughing and chatting again, and kindly signed a photo for me and posed for photo.

He also commented how he thought it was terrible that Starbuck in the newer version of 'Battlestar: Galactica' was a woman, and how bad the new 'A-Team' film is - couldn't quite tell if he was joking on that one or not.

Dirk gives a great performance as Columbo, and if you are in the U.K. I highly recommended getting to see it. Check out the official website HERE (opens in new window) to see if and when it's coming to your area.

(Oh, and "just one more thing" (to quote Columbo) - Yes I know how chubby I look in the photo!! And I didn't eat any Easter Eggs or anything!! I think I'm off out for a run now!)

21/03/2010 - It might seem as if there haven't been many updates lately; well, I've been tweaking a few pages, and.... (drum roll), there is finally a new EPISODE REVIEW CAPSULE up - A SMALL AND DEADLY WAR. An in-depth look at this first season episode, with plot synopsis, notes, bloopers, guest cast notes, and just about anything else I could think of!

The next episode, 'Black Day at Bad Rock', is already in the works! Note that I won't be doing each and every episode in order - I'll do a few in broadcast order, then jump to certain episodes and back again. If there is a particular episode you'd like to recommend to be covered, post your suggestion on the FORUM.

27/02/2010 - Another RAINBOW BOOK & CASSETTE entry, 'Bugs in the Box', is up, as part of the MERCHANDISE section. Also, I haven't made a BLOG entry for a while, so I've made amends with a BIG entry on the forthcoming movie. READ IT HERE!

19/02/2010 - I've added a page in the MERCHANDISE section covering the U.K. ANNUALS. Full scans are coming soon, but for now, there is a run down of each one, with relevant notes, and comments on which are the rarer ones to find.

10/02/2010 - Been working "behind the scenes" on the site for a couple of days, sorting a few errors out, as well as preparing the first UK BOOK & CASSETTE upload which will hopefully be up by Friday.

Also, the site now has it's own dedicated e-mail, webmaster@thea-team.org I'm gradually going through updating all the old email links. The previous one is still valid, but please try to use the new one if getting in contact. Apologies to anyone who tried to get in contact but couldn't or didn't get a reply - the forwarding system I set up didn't seem to work, this is now sorted out.

Off now to scan the rest of 'You Lose, Snake's Eyes', a very exciting (!) book & cassette adventure.

6/02/2010 - More LOOK-IN scans up today (I found the missing stash I was looking for), all with A-Team covers and a number of features. More scans of the comic strips coming over the next week or so!

Also, you might like to check out THIS PAGE of interesting clips about the A-Team movie (which I'm still annoyed about coming out later in the U.K. than most of the rest of the world, but hey, what can you do).

Coming soon - U.K. book & cassettes; I'm in the process of recording the audio cassettes, and digging out the accompanying storybooks (a couple have gone missing; yes, I lose a lot of stuff!!). Also, I'm planning to redesign the clunky main menu, and maybe resort a few things into different categories.

And finally... I'll keep plugging it, don't forget the site's dedicated FORUM, where it is free and simple to join; I'd really like to get some A-Team discussions going with fans from around the world.

4/02/2010 - I've cleaned up the AUDIO SECTION a bit, so that you can now listen online or download to your hard disk easier. There is also the option to hear all of the files in one go. Been scanning more vintage Look-In magazines this evening, and hoping to get them up on-line tomorrow.

1/02/2010 - More updates today. There is now an AUDIO SECTION as part of the DOWNLOADS SECTION, with pages on both various versions of 'The A-Team' theme, and snippets of dialogue from various episodes. It's very basic at the moment, but it's something to start from, and I've had a number of requests for audio so here it is (the beginning of it, anyway)!

Also, I've begun me section on the UK "Junior TV Times" Look-In. This was delayed for most of the weekend as I can't find my stash of Look-In comics, but I've unearthed a couple, one of which has A-Team related content as seen here, and more coming over the next few days. SEE IT HERE!

Also coming up, is the audio and scans from the eight UK 'book & cassette' read-along stories, which you will be able to follow on this site. And which you're here, don't forget to sign up at the FORUM - it's free, and I'd really like to get some A-Team discussions going.

28/01/2010 - Further to yesterday's big update, there is also now a page up ABOUT ME. Quite why anyone would ever wish to read about me I don't know, but it's here anyway!! Audio and Look-In scans hopefully coming over the weekend. Stay tuned.

(Also, apologies to anyone who signed in to the FORUM and saw no topics; this was a fault on my end that is now corrected.)

27/01/2010 - BIG NEWS REGARDING THIS SITE!! It's been long planned, but it's finally here... the site has it's own dedicated forum! Named "The Floor 'Em" (after the dance hall in the infamous fourth season episode 'Cowboy George'), this is a place to discuss anything A-Team related, as well as categories for other TV, films and music of the decade, and general discussion. Anyone is free to join up, so CLICK HERE TO VISIT THE FORUM. (As a piece of trivia, although I didn't realise it at the time, I initially created the forum on January 23rd - the 27 years after the Pilot first aired in the US).

The downloads section is also growing - due to many requests, over the next few days I shall be uploading audio files, but in the meantime, here are some WALLPAPERS done by my friend Samantha for the site.

More updates over the next few days include scans (finally updating my UK TV Times guide, which got thrown off when I realised that even on original broadcasts, each region showed a different episode!), and comic strips from UK magazine 'Look-In'. Anyway, less reading, more forum-ing! =)

22/01/2010 - THAR BE UPDATES HERE AT LONG LAST!! I've been long promising it, and finally I get to add to the site.

bullet

In time, I hope to do EPISODE REVIEW CAPSULES for each and every episode, but in the meantime, there is now a page of MINI-REVIEWS for each and every episode. These are my own personal views on each episode, and I know your opinion will likely differ - which is why I'm working on starting a FORUM for the site for folks to leave their own thoughts and comments on episodes.

bullet

There are also SECOND SEASON BLOOPERS at the moment. It's text only at the moment, but I'm working on screen grabs as we speak.

bullet

Also coming over the next few days are WALLPAPERS, designed by myself and put together by a kind friend (as may be evident, graphics are not my strong point!) Hopefully they will up within the next coming week, with more to follow.

bullet

There are also odd tweaks to the EPISODE GUIDE (yes, I know a few of the episode descriptions read terribly!)

Also, a better version of the forthcoming movie trailer can be viewed HERE ON IMDB.COM (opens in a new window). There are also some NEW PHOTOS there. There is also a nice interview with director Joe Carnaghan HERE. Of note with the new movie, Jessica Beil plays a new character, Lt. Sosa, not Amy Allen as some early sources wrongly presumed. Either way, the movie comes out here 30th July, compared to 11th July in the US. I'm not sure I can bear the wait, let alone avoid the spoilers!

8/01/2010 - Keep checking this site over next few days - been working on some stuff over Christmas that I'll try and get uploaded this week (to make up for the several and unforgivable lack of updates last year!!). But in the mean time... FIRST A-TEAM MOVIE TRAILER RELEASED ON LINE! Many sites, including the one linked to here, are carrying it. Take a look!!

24/10/2009 - More big updates on the new 'A-Team' movie (released 2010), including the first "official" shot of the new team!

Lots more info and links on the BLOG. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what we've seen so far - leave comments either on the BLOG or the GUESTBOOK.

12/10/2009 - BIG A-TEAM MOVIE UPDATE! - The new A-Team movie, scheduled for 2010, is now shooting, and the first sneak photos have appeared. I'm planning on doing a specific page for it as more emerges, but for now, I've done a (rather large) blog looking at the details and the first photos. READ IT HERE.

I've been promising a lot of updates - darn you life for getting in the way ... sorting out work, new place to live, etc., but at very least I'm preparing a bloopers section for Season 2 (see Season 1's HERE). Also, I really have to get the character bios complete. But hey - new A-Team movie to get excited about... what's not to like! =)

31/08/2009 - You know what, when we have those long dark Autumn and Winter nights, I'm actually gonna put some work in on this site! I actually have a ton of stuff sitting on my hard disk to upload to the site, but it needs sorting into order and formatting first!

Anyway, one minor new addition to related to the site is that it now has a blog - I'll update it with random musings on TAT, the upcoming music, as well as thoughts on other old shows and life in general. CHECK IT OUT HERE!

31/05/2009 - Hello A-Teamers everywhere. Many apologies for the lack of updates - this site is not dead!! =) At the moment, I am very busy with other things in "real life" (ha, what's that!) and haven't been able to put in the hours on the site that I would have liked. But I'm still working on it, and hope to put in some serious time on it in a couple of weeks. Thanks for all the kind comments on the GUEST BOOK. And don't forget, if there's an episode that you'd like to see covered next, either leave a message on the GUEST BOOK or E-MAIL me. Thanks for your understanding and patience, best wishes to all A-Team fans out there. I'll get there eventually!! =)

24/09/2008 - Ever watched the opening credits of an episode and wondered where a particular shot comes from? Well now you can find out, in our run through of all of the OPENING CREDITS as part of the FEATURES section.

22/09/2008 - The site is starting to round out slightly, and I'm working on it every day at the moment. A lot of the material is still on my hard disk as I arrange and tweak it, but I'm uploading new stuff most days.

Now complete is the SERIES SYNOPSIS, giving a detailed overview of the series from it's concept through to it's eventual cancellation and beyond.

There are also some more vintage UK TV Times SCANS. Frustratingly, even on the original ITV broadcasts, a different episode was shown in each region, so I am in the process of trying to sort them into some sort of order.

Also in the FEATURES SECTION is a look at the 'anti' A-Team's that appeared in various episodes. More coming soon!!

30/08-2008 - The site is still under construction, and is very much of a skeleton at the moment, so all links and features don't yet work, but I'm in the process of adding & uploading more each day.

Currently up for your perusing pleasure is the EPISODE GUIDE, available in both production and broadcast order, which I believe to be the most detailed guest star cast list anywhere on the internet, and comes as a result of years hard research (and watching!).

There are also some vintage UK TV Times SCANS in the FEATURES SECTION, including the listing for the very first UK broadcast.

And you can vote in the POLL (some users have reported loading problems with this, I'm working on fixing it. If it doesn't work for you, try again soon).

And last, but certainly not least, we have our very first Episode Review Capsules. Currently up are:

The team, complete with a different Face, are hired by Amy Allen to find her colleague who has been captured by bandits in Mexico, in the Pilot adventure
